The founder, Christian Dior himself, was originally a political science major in college. After the Stock Market Crash of the 1920's, he did some soul searching and decided to actuate his dream of becoming a designer. After selling a number of fashion sketches to Parisian couture houses, he was finally hired as a designer for the house of Robert Piquet and, later, Lucien Lelong. By 1947, the House of Dior was up and running. Dior was subsequently honored with the cover of Time magazine in 1957. He died soon after, but the line's fame has only continued to grow due to its quality and its position as a vanguard of style.
Part of what makes a Christian Dior handbag so special is the attention to detail; each bag is carefully stitched and comes with a signature charm on the handle or clasp. And, as with all good accessories, they are as functional as they are beautiful. Never purchase an imitation; why bother, when you can have the best? Unlike other lines, everyone can afford a Christian Dior handbag; prices range from $49 from a simple Lady Dior bag on up.
A Christian Dior handbag is the one item that every woman must have. The lady who owns one makes an important statement about who she is; these handbags tell the world that she is beautiful, elegant, and the epitome of good taste. As everyone from household names to housewives should know, Christian Dior is a brand of excellence.
