2 inch wide cuff in gun metal adorned with crystal This piece was inspired by a gift. Diana's beloved Grandmother handed down her Great Grandmother's costume jewelry to Diana last year during her engagement to her now husband. While engagement, moving and all the life changes that were taking place demanded so much of her life at the time of this gift Diana was constantly thinking of how to use this gift to create the perfect tribute to the women who have gone before her and made Diana's family what it is. Constantly interested in the fusion between the old and the new Diana in partnership with Christine McPartland (New York artist and producer of beautiful things) this series of Grandmother's pieces was created. Diana showed up at Christine's studio in a whirlwind like most days holding a piece she had taken from a beautiful black diamond crystal earring that had once belonged to her Great Grandmother. Diana simply asked can we do this, and Christine responded effortlessly "yeah, sure." And like magic pieces were born combining the ultra modern minimalist cuff with a reproduction of a cherished antique piece.
